Clear, commercially sensible rules for consultation fees, advance payments, rescheduling and work already commenced.
1. Consultation fees
Any consultation fee, if quoted, will be shown before payment. Unless the invoice states otherwise, a consultation fee is refundable only if SPEED Consultancy cancels the confirmed consultation and cannot offer a reasonable reschedule.
2. Cancellation and rescheduling
Clients should request cancellation or rescheduling by email at least 1 business day before the scheduled consultation. We will make reasonable efforts to reschedule once without charge. Late cancellation, non-attendance or a request received after the consultation has started may be treated as delivered.
3. Advance payments and work commenced
For project or retainer engagements, any advance payment is applied to the agreed scope. Once work has commenced, fees for time, deliverables or third-party costs already incurred are non-refundable, except where the written proposal states a different arrangement.
4. Refund eligibility and processing timeline
Approved refunds are initiated to the original payment method within 7–10 business days after refund approval and confirmation. Bank or payment-provider processing times may vary after initiation, and the customer may need to allow additional time for the amount to appear in the account.
Any GST or tax adjustment will be handled in accordance with the applicable invoice and tax rules. Refunds are not provided as cash unless required by applicable law.

Complaints will be acknowledged within 48 hours of receipt. We aim to resolve complaints within one month, subject to the information and cooperation required to investigate the matter.
6. Exceptions
Specific engagement letters, invoices or proposals may contain terms that supersede this general policy. Where there is a conflict, the signed engagement document controls.
